Ever consistent mare Golden Charmer finally got another deserved win at Moonee Valley Friday night. It had been almost eighteen months since her last win with so many unlucky, yet encouragable runs in between. Golden Charmer often gets back in her races, but with not much pace early Mark Pegus settled her in 2nd place, she got to the lead early and when it looked like the favourite Persian Star was going to run her down, she fought back hard to hold onto that win. Dan and her owners, Peter Cameron and Maureen Black have lots of nice options for her going forward so stay tuned for her next run.
