Higher Hopes For Roxy

Mar 4, 2020

Lightly raced, four year old mare, Horse For Higher notched up her second career win at Ballarat yesterday at her ninth start.

Roxy, as she’s called around the stables has always shown Dan and the team promise so together with her owner, Greg Galt, they have given her ample time to mature to ensure she has every opportunity to deliver her best.

Her first up run at Kyneton was very good considering the distance of 1200m wasn’t ideal, so those close went into this start more confident than usual as she stepped up to 1400m.

Greg is such a loyal and patient owner and it was great for him to be on course to witness Roxy’s win in the flesh! He carefully researches his breeding so he will be extra proud of his efforts.

Will Price gave her a peach of a ride and our team have done a marvellous job.

Dan believes this mare has potential to go through her grades successfully and deliver some more rewarding days at the races!
