A step-up in distance and a warning that her spot in the team was on the line was just what Shinady needed yesterday.
Her two previous run this preparation had been very lack lustre but her trainer was adamant that this filly just needed to get out to a longer trip, so it was a suprise to many, but not Dan when she stormed home to win by whisker.
Ridden patiently and perfectly by Jordan Childs, Shinady's win was a big thrill for her major owner and breeder Kevin McGrath along with his many racing partners and friends.
