The saying is “it doesn’t rain but it pours” and that has certainly been the case for Skyschiller.
Sky joined our team in September last year with a few quirks in that she’s not a good doer and she doesn’t like living in a stable. The lightly framed mare took a while to get some strength about her, and then she encountered a couple of annoying and recurring problems that took a long time to sort out, eventually requiring surgery for one issue.
Patience and Pamering paid off for all involved yesterday when she won in excellent fashion at Warrnambool yesterday. The heavy track was a bonus for her and our Lucy rode her very well.
Congratulations to her fantastic ownership group and another pat on the back for our hard working team.
Now let’s hope the rain continues so can begin a winning streak!
