We’re quite liking making trips to Donald, as we seem to often bring home a winner from those meetings!

Today is was Song Brocade’s turn to provide us with some cheers, notching up her second career win over 1600m.

She is quite a deceiving young lady actually, as she had indicated in her track work to both her previous trainer, John Sadler, and Dan that she is a very impressive, promising filly – but she just doesn’t match it on race day (YET).

We will keep working on a way to get her to really expose that flash engine she has, and while we’re doing it, a win at Donald is a good start and reward for her loyal owner Dr Tan.

Beau Mertens had her in the perfect position early and they strode away down the straight to win by several lengths.
