Recent new addition to the stable, Cloudy Madica, took out the EST Nursery Ridge Estate Winery 0-62 handicap in good style at Donald yesterday. The 4 year old, Canny Lad mare was well ridden by Terry Barry who took advantage of barrier 1, holding a handy position for the early stages of the race, then taking the inside run over the final stages. Cloudy Madica, owned by Ballarat businessman Tim Porter, arrived at the stables with the reputation of having decent ability, but she was failing to show it on race day, so a new environment and some slight gear changes altered her attitude. Hopefully she has her confidence and the taste of winning back!
