Our little black beauty, Annie's a Gem, saved the day yesterday, finally kicking off the winners list for 2012!
Known to always try and having been very unlucky on several occasions this preparation, Annie won convincingly over 1400m at Warrnambool.
Annie carries the colours of the Kolora-Noorat Power Football and Netball teams, so hopefully her winning ways are a good omen for the club and her passionate owners, the Justin and Scanlon families.
Having not disgraced herself in town the start previous, Dan is hoping she can take out a suitable city race in the near future.
