Our stable clown, Fine Evader, gave his opposition nothing to laugh about when he won in convincing fashion on the new Ballarat Synthetic yesterday.

We are thrilled to have a new synthetic track here at Ballarat, but we were starting to get concerned after having a few runners with no success, so it was a big relief to have “Rusty” (his stablename) deliver the goods for us, and now hold the track record for that distance (2100m).

Jack Hill did a terrific job to have him settle early, with plenty of cover and then when the gap opened they stormed home through the centre of the track.

“This horse is a real thinker so Jack did extremely well to outsmart him” Dan reported “He’s also one that enjoys jumping, so adding hurdles to his training regime helps keep him interested too”.

Congratulations to long time and loyal owners, Frank and Lesley Monish, who bred this fellow who has now notched up his sixth career win.
