It doesn’t seem that long ago that we could easily book John Allen for a ride at St Arnaud on a Saturday. Fast forward a few years and he is in demand by all the top trainers in the top races around Australia. So, to have him ride two winners for us in the past 10 days has been a real buzz.
Say Good Night was the recipient of his outstanding horsemanship at Pakenham yesterday, winning over 1600m. They jumped well, found themselves in a snug spot on the fence one back and at the top of straight peeled out and let go – just perfect!
Say Good Night was bred by Denis Roberts, a long time supporter of the Australian Breeding and Racing Industry and another gent who we have had associations with over many years. Congratulations Denis!
