La Tesora delivered a big thrill for a big group of owners this afternoon at Ballarat.

For many it was their first win as a racehorse owner and most connections are from either Ballarat or the region of Dan’s home town of Terang.

Her name means “The Treasure”, and this lightly raced filly by Nicconi is looking to be just that in the years ahead.  Purchased at the 2106 Inglis Vobis Yearling Sale for only $10,000 she has already paid for herself.

“She’s related to two fillies I’ve trained over the years in Demographic and  Dynamic Balance, and she just presented very confident at the sales.  Then I got a call from loyal owner Shane Scally, who noticed her too so we just decided we’ve got nothing to lose!” Dan reported.  “She has given us honest efforts every run to date and I think she’ll progress from here”.

Congratulations to her excited ownership group and well done to our Lucy for a terrific ride!
