Affair To Remember’s win at Geelong yesterday has earned her the challenge of delivering some thrills in some better races during the Spring.
Up against a solid crop of three year old fillies on the rise, the daughter of Toronado won in convincing fashion in the hands of Johnny Allen.
“Bubbles” (her pet name) is the half sister to Bahamas who placed at Group 1 level for us just a few years back, and this filly is showing the signs to be just as good – if not better. “Bahamas never raced this early in her career, and this girl is very timid and still immature, so to win already is a big bonus” Dan commented. “As expected, she isn’t fully wound up and she still doesn’t look great in coat so that’s proof there’s more to come as the spring deepens”.
Dan is always grateful to have any of the David Peacock bred progeny in his yard, and it’s always extra special to get a win for the “Lime Green Brigade” who have put there faith in his training ability for more than 20 years.
Bring on Spring!
