Our little speed machine, Captain Crackerjak, got away with one of his “catch me if you can” performances on the Geelong Synthetic yesterday.
A change in ownership and training routine saw this little fellow have a month between runs. “We’ve tried to get him to settle by doing plenty of slower work with him, but he just wants to run, so we have to let him” a relieved Dan commented.
The claim of our apprentice, Lucy Doodt, was a big bonus over the final stages and after a string of second placings we had a very happy young lady who has passed a mile stone in her career by out-riding her 3kg claim with that win.
Congratulations to his wonderful ownership group, and welcome to his new owners Racheal and Hamish who started have started off on a winning note.
