City Win Added to Queuey’s Resume

Mar 21, 2018

This afternoon our “busy” little mare, Near Queue, notched up her first city win over 1700m at Sandown.

After an impressive win at Bendigo the start prior, and some very good, but unlucky runs before that it was terrific to see her reap the rewards for her owners.

The instructions to Fred Kersley were simple, settle back in the field with cover and then on straightening take her wide. It was an excellent, patient ride and an impressive turn of foot was displayed by the mare.

It’s amazing to think she has been in work for 12 months, and more amazing knowing how much extra and unnecessary energy this little mare uses throughout the day and prior to her races.

Obviously the Ballarat lifestyle, and extra care given to her by our team, especially her strapper Tim, is working wonders.

Today’s win brings  her tally to six and four since joining our team last year.

It was fantastic to have managing owner Rob Rorrison in town to witness her win in the flesh!
