Terang one minute, Hanging Rock thirty four minutes later!
Valhalla Princess made our New Year even better winning over 2400m at Hanging Rock. A change in riding tactics was on the menu for this girl too, this time encouraging her to relax in the early stages.
“There is no vision of the race as yet, but from all reports John Fahy rode her beautifully” Dan said. “She’s been overdoing it early and then not finishing off, so I added blinkers just to help her focus on herself. She ran very well here last year racing in the same style, so it was worth a try”.
Our girl Val is a true stayer, is strong and sound and a dream to train so here’s hoping she can continue to notch up the wins for her terrific group of owners.
