With the stable mainly consisting of youngsters at present, Dan is hoping consistent mare Golden Charmer can fly the flag for him this spring. Golden Charmer has been entered in both the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups, which may seem ambitous for a 5 year old mare who has won two races, but with Dan's nurturing over the past few years this tough and honest mare may be just about to show her best. She kicks off this campaign on Sunday at Sandown over 1400m and with outstanding jockey Steven Arnold on board she's in very capable hands. We can expect the 1400m trip will be too short for her, but rest assured our "Goldie" will be giving her best!
