He’s one of those horses that catches everyone’s eye and is a pleasure to have around our stables, but Tramcar Johnny simply only puts in an effort when he wants to.
Thankfully, yesterday was one of those days! Dan has tried everything with this fellow to get him focused and it appears if he gets things his way in front he is more likely to keep going.
A terrific ride from Jye McNeil who steered Johnny to the front, and dictated the pace mid-race, giving them enough left in the tank to finish strong to the line.
Congratulations to his owners, the Monish, Grimsey & Crook families, who have given this boy more than enough chances to prove his worth. Here’s hoping he continues to try for you!
