Near Queue kept the smiles on everyone’s faces for another day with her delivery of an early Christmas present at Werribee this afternoon.
With a 2nd and 3rd placing in her previous starts, we thought it would only be a matter of time for her to return to the winner’s stall. A perfect ride from our Lucy, who got her to settle nicely in the early stages and then on straightening they swooped past the rest of the field to win impressively. A beaming Lucy reported post race “once we got shuffled back, she settled really well and once we peeled out she hit the line nicely” and “she’s a bit of a quirky filly so it’s great I can ride her in track work and on race day”.
It’s no secret that this pretty little filly can be a handful at times, but she is worth it and our team love a challenge!
She has most likely earned herself a start in town midweek after that win, so here’s hoping she can put a city win on her pedigree page for her loyal owners.
