Not even the wide barrier draw could stop Truly Discreet winning at Sandown in impressive style yesterday.
We are really proud of this girl – when she first arrived she was quite timid, but with each race outing she is proving more resilient and is even becoming versatile in the way in which she can be ridden. With all the bad luck and bad barriers she has encountered this preparation it was a very tough and deserved win.
Another perfect ride from Luke Currie who has been riding winners for us for more than 15 years. He is one of the very few jockeys around who almost never get it wrong!
Truly’s win again proves our training facilities and environment are ideal for those horses who need something more than a “factory” routine and our dedicated team have done a terrific job.
It’s always a thrill to get a win for the “Lime Green Brigade”, captained by David Peacock, who have been racing with us for more than 20 years.
She is now going for a well earned spell and will be back in search of some glory in the Spring!
