After a long run of outs Tuscan Fire finally put another win on the board in the Woodend Cup held at Kyneton on Saturday.
This prep we are starting to see a more relaxed horse and he proved he can settle now in his races. With a great display of patients and timing from Linda "chopper" Meech, Tuscan took up a more rearward position than normal early in the race. As the pace slackened along the back he started to make a move around the field. He then took control of the race and as the field straightened, showed his quality by continuing his long sprint to win cruising over the line by 2 lengths.
It was great to see him start to live upto the potential Dan knew he had in him. Congratulations to the great bunch of owners involved in Tuscan.
The excitement is well and truly building now as we approach the jumping season……….Lets hope he shows the same dash over the sticks!
