Dan has been expecting a win from Veneficus – just not yesterday!
The four year gelding by Brief Truce, has always indicated he will appreciate a longer trip and Dan had been really pleased with his work leading into the race, with the view he may sneak a place.
Obviously he loved the rain affected track, jumping well and getting a soft lead which he mainted the entire race.
He looks like having a staying future on softish tracks.
