Tuscan Fire made it back to back wins in the 2000m 0-68 Showcase at Colac on Sunday.
Another great ride from Linda Meech allowed Tuscan to travel well throughout the race. In an oddly run affair, Linda found herself a long way back coming up the hill in the back straight. But the now formidable pair waited patiently until a small gap opened up and as the field straightened Tuscan was making steady growned.
With a considerable gap still to breach to the leader from the 200m pole, Tuscan put on the after burners and stole the race in the last stride to win by a nose.
With plenty of time before Oakbank's Easter jumping carnival, Dan will now target some more challenges on the flat for the son of Tuscanos and if his current form is anything to go by his owners have a lot to look forward to.
