Elegant by name, but not so much by nature is the promising filly Valse.

Yesterday she compensated for her pre-race antics by delivering jockey Dean Yendall his 4th winner for the day at the Stawell.

When she won at Terang, our Lucy ended up with a cut face after she threw her head back on the way to the gates, and yesterday she did the same with Dean, but he was unharmed.

Lucky Dan likes a filly with a bit of attitude and once the barriers open she is a tries her best. “We’ve tried her in town but things haven’t gone right and she might not be quite up to that yet, but even in another preparation I can see her competitive there” Dan commented.

This is her second win from only ten starts for her lovely group of owners from Sylvan Lodge and their friends!
