Our day just got better when our ol’ mate, Aurelius Hero made it a double for us at Ballarat.
The statistics show he runs in the first three placings nearly every 2nd start, so after finishing unplaced for four runs in a row, the phone started to ring with owners questioning his future.
“In a nutshell, he is really suited to Benchmark 58 and 64 races and with the way he races a small field is ideal, which is we what we got today. Lucy gave him some weight relief and rode him perfectly.” Dan reported.
It’s no secret that “Warrick” has been a favourite of everyone’s since his arrival. Even as a youngster he had the most relaxed, friendly nature and it’s obvious he reserves all his energy for raceday. He isn’t perfect in the wind, so Dan keeps him in work to prevent his issues deteriorating and it’s remarkable how he remains in such terrific order both physically and mentally.
Congratulations to his connections who can boast to their mates they own a horse who has won 8 times!
