Fine Team Effort with Fine Evader

Nov 6, 2017

Today’s win with Fine Evader is an excellent example of horse, jockey, owner, trainer and strapper all playing pivotal roles in getting to the winner’s stall.

This fellow, who we call “Rusty” is the class clown of our team, and with him being such a big horse many would be intimidated by his antics.  But our long term team member, Nikki, didn’t take long to work this guy out and instantly become his biggest fan – she rides him work and straps him on race day.

His lovely owners, Frank and Lesley Monish bred Rusty and have raced many horses with us over the years, most of them with “Fine” in their name.  They are loyal and patient owners who give their horses every chance to mature and even though they’ve been lacking some luck lately, they travel far and wide to watch their horses race.

Jamie Mott’s ride was perfect. He is a true horseman and no frills jockey who can match it with the best.

It’s always a happy day for us when we reward our owners with a win!
