Charming win from Bavarian Lady
At her fourth career start, our little, sassy Bavarian Lady won her maiden at Murtoa yesterday.
Just missing out last start, and under the guidance of under-rated senior jockey Jarrod Lorensini, it was very special to have these colours return to the winner’s stall for the first time for our stable.
Bavarian Lady is out of handy mare, Charmed Lady, who was raced by Coombes Family – well known and loved characters of Victorian horse racing. Ray Coombes isn’t in the best of health, so he didn’t renew his trainer’s licence this year. We were thrilled to be able to offer shares in this girl along with Ray, Eileen and Deon and it is very fitting that she wears their colours!
She is only little, but she has plenty of attitude!
Jameson Aich Tassie Bound
Jameson Aich finally broke through his maiden win yesterday at Ararat after knocking on the door for quite a while. The lovely three year old colt, by Tuscanos, was showing Dan that he would appreciate more ground, and he was proven right winning over 2000m in the...
Dame Dietrich worth the wait
Today's win from Dame Dietrich was reward for a lot of people. She is owned by the estate of the late Bill MacKinnon and leased by the Juanita Syndicate, Garry Dickeson, Rob Price and Dan himself. There was an initial delay in Dame Dietrich getting to races to...
Belle Suprises the Punters
When Dan left Ballarat for day at Warrnambool yesterday, he was confident all of his runners would perform well, and that they did. Dame Dietrich was a very eye-catching run, after missing the start by several lenghts she stormed home in the final stages to run third....
Leg Spinner Bowls Them Over
Princess Park's new syndicate, The Syndicate We Had To Have, which involves nearly 40 owners had their first runner at St Arnaud on Saturday and came home winners! The 3 year old gelding by Over, sat 3rd and 4th most of the way and on straightening picked up his...
Belle of Storms likes Avoca!
Pity there's only two meetings at Avoca each year, as Belle of Storms seems to like it there! She has two wins on the board now and both of them have been at that track. Dan was confident after an honest effort the start before at Hamilton, and she didn't...
Racer redeems himself
After Theraceison put in a disappointing run last Saturday at Murtoa, Dan, Dean Yendall and his owners were all left scratching their heads. It is very out of character for him not to give his best, and it is also out of character for him to recover as well as he did...
Showcase win for Racer
When the jockeys took strike action against the whipping rules, Dan had to go back and re-think plans for Theraceison. He always had in mind the 0-72 country showcase race for him over 1600m if he'd won, so confident his horse wasn't impositioned for missing...
Theraceison does it for Les
A long trip to Swan Hill yesterday paid off with the ever-reliable Theraceison taking the honours in race 8. With the recent tragic passing of co-owner Les Simmons, connections were hoping a little extra help from above would ensure their victory, and their wishes...

Our Leading Lady Lacey Produces a Filly!
Our 2008 Adelaide Cup winner, Lacey Underall caused much excitement a couple of weeks ago, producing a lovely filly by Fastnet Rock. Lacey was always the stable darling so it's no suprise she's a terrific mum. Princess Park and connections are hoping to...
