Catskill’s long awaited maiden win

Catskill’s long awaited maiden win

Not many trainers and owners will persevere with a horse who hasn’t won it’s maiden after a certain amount of starts, so Catskill is very lucky to still be in our special care at his 20th race.   He is also lucky that he has shown us he is worth the wait, considering he has placed on 8 occasions and his ideal distance is over ground.

Owned by a fabulous group of Ballarat locals, most of whom are very passionate racegoers who enjoy a bus trip around the state to watch their nags go around.  Today was a fun trip home from Echuca for them and the phone calls we received were very entertaining.

Thanks to Johnny Allen for another strong ride.  Let’s hope this fellow likes the winning feeling and goes on from here.
